located at the top and bottom

of the panel.

~A handpainted piece is often used as a

main feature, usually a native flora and fauna

.~Flash, etched glass was a big part of the

Victorian era. The panels often consisted of

antique flash glass usually in blue or red.

A pattern was often etched or sandblasted

into the glass panel. Flash glass: Two

layered glass, the bottom layer of white

or light coloured glass, the thinner top layer

of a darker colour. Flash glass is most often

used for etching.
